Why Chris Brown Got Kicked Out Of Anger Rehab

There are a few reasons why Chris Brown got booted out of anger rehab on Friday, and as a direct result wassent to jail right after.

TMZ reported that the 24-year-old R&B singer violated a special rule that the Malibu rehab center specifically set for him—that is, to stay at least 2 feet away from the women there. It has to do with how Brown brutally beat up former girlfriend Rihanna back in 2009. However, it looks like he's not one to follow rules much. Sources close to the situation told TMZ that Brown allegedly touched elbows and hands with a woman there.

In addition, Brown was allowed to leave the facility last week for an outing, but when he came back and was asked by the center to take a drug test, he refused to do it, sources said. However, others reported he did take the test eventually and it came out negative. On top of that, Brown said some offensive things about the facility during a group session.

The AP reported that Brown was being treated at the facility for anger management, substance abuse and bi-polar disorder.

Brown spent the weekend behind bars downtown in Los Angeles after getting booted out of rehab. Although Brown had finished his required 90 days in rehab (for the Rihanna beating), a judge wanted him to stay there longer until another assault court case (this time stemming from an arrest last October in Washington, D.C. when a man accused Brown of punching him) was finished. The judge said that if Brown left rehab, he would be sent directly to jail—which he was.

The pop singer is expected at an L.A. County court room today and attorney Mark Geragos is representing him, according to the AP. The court hearing should determine whether Brown will have more penalties and spend more time in prison.

UPDATE 3:10 p.m.: A judge ordered Brown to stay in Men's Central Jail until his next probation violation hearing on April 23, according to Reuters. Superior Court Judge James R. Brandlin said he felt uneasy about the comments the singer made in rehab about being good at using knives and guns, reported the AP.
