Packer Gyngell street brawl: How Sydney saw the funny side of Bondi street fight

TRASH talking turned into fisticuffs outside the home of Bondi billionaire James Packer, when local garbage collectors went toe-to-toe.
As the sun was rising over Bondi Beach, the lads re-enacted the Sunday afternoon fight between Packer and Channel Nine CEO David Gyngell.

“All I want is two-fifty! Two dollars fifty,” one of the garbos said in front of The Daily Telegraph photographer Ross Schultz.
Driving past Packer’s $22m residence a short time later, another garbage collector did some shadow boxing in preparation for round two. Well played lads.
The explosive brawl between Packer and Gyngell created an online storm with the Daily Telegraph the target of much fun-poking.
Readers took to social media to lampoon the Telegraph’s use of watermarking on the exclusive fight photos, including the setting up of a fake News Corp watermark Twitter account
Commenting on Facebook on one of the watermarked photos, Adrian Hodgson said: “Should have watermarked the photo. Everyone will steal it now”.
The comment was liked 98 times.
Jake Annesley dryly asked “Is this a NewsCopro foto? while Leonard Zech posted “EXCLUSIVE! Newscorp posts its logo on Facebook!!! . Oh and there was a some fight somewhere.”
Buzzfeed even put a package together on the internet’s reaction to the watermarking.
