Rapper and coach of the Voice, will.i.am, kicked out of first class lounge

BLACK Eyed Peas star and coach of The Voice, will.i.am, took to Twitter last night when he was allegedly kicked out of a first class airport lounge because staff thought his membership card was fake.
The popstar tweeted to his 12 million followers that he was removed from the United Airline Global First Lounge saying, “I’m a member & I have my card to prove it but they tell me my card is fake & kick me out of the lounge.”

He then posted a picture of the first class lounge sign as he was made to wait outside.

It was not clear where the incident occurred but according to tweets earlier that day he was on his way to Washington, D.C, to listen to fellow rapper and friend Diddy make a speech at Howard University.
Making fun of the airline, he posted the following picture and tweet.
To make matter worse, the star was then asked for a selfie with the United Airlines pilot in an ironic twist of events.
The airline released the following statement in response.
“We invite only customers travelling in United Global First, customers with Global Services status travelling in United BusinessFirst, and customers travelling in first class on other Star Alliance carriers to visit our Global First Lounges.
“Since the customer did not meet these criteria he did not have access to the lounge. We are reaching out to the customer and appreciate his business.”
